Six Hundred Prisoners, a Tsunami and Me – the Peru Earthquake of 2007

I had always heard people in Peru talk about the temblores.  I thought that the word meant earthquake.  I was wrong…

I went through an 8.1 earthquake in a little town where over 500 people died and 90% of the town was destroyed – including the second and third floors of the house I was in.  My family and I were lucky and blessed to survive.  The town still isn’t rebuilt, even nearly 5 years later.  We have sent money and resources down there, but I wish to do more.  If you’d like to support me, please check out The Shattered Swan http://www.amazon.com/The-Shattered-Swan-ebook/dp/B0046H9ZB8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1334608607&sr=8-1 - and be sure to pass it on through Facebook and Twitter!  Proceeds go to BuildChange.org and HappyHeartsFund.org.  Thank you!
